Lead Paint Abatement
The Friends of SS Nenana are looking for contractors with Lead Paint Abatement Certification to give us an estimate or quote on removing the flaking paint on the area of the paddle wheel that we will be working on this spring and summer.

Contractor Awarded Bid!
The Fairbanks North Star Borough Assembly voted to award the bid to Graham Industrial Coatings LLC to start repairs on the decks of the SS Nenana this summer!! This is a huge move forward for getting the whole boat repaired and open to the public again!
We are getting close, but we still need about $20,000 to complete the work this summer to repair the Stern, Paddle Wheel and Transon (back wall of the boat.) The FNSB will also be working on replacing decks this summer. Things are finally moving forward. You can mail a check to Friends of SS Nenana, PO Box 72876 Fairbanks, AK 99707.
