Saving History – Friends of S.S. Nenana Inc.

Do you enjoy meeting new people from all over the world and our wonderful Fairbanks locals? Some of those locals share stories of the Nenana when she was in service.

We need volunteers on the cargo deck this summer! The cargo deck will be open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We will have two shifts, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

The Cargo Deck opens Memorial Day Weekend until Labor Day.

The good news is we finally got the notice to proceed with our wheel project.

Unfortunately, it is at the end of the construction season. This will put us off for another year before we can finish the whole project. It is very frustrating, but the positive side is that our contractor will have the entire season to work with.
